Tension of Holding On

Manage your time
Don’t waste it
Plan your time
Adhere to it
Hold onto time
Don’t let go
It’s sacred
And all we have

But the more we hold on
The more time slips away
Second by second
Draining
We have
Too firm of a grip;
We had
Time;
We spent
Time
Watching it
Slip from our grip
And crumble
Into the sand
Lost
